Canonbury Residential Home is a 18th Century, Grade 2 listed building which was once a farm. It has lots of character with a welcoming, homely atmosphere. Canonbury Residential Home is ideally situated being only 5 minutes walk from the health center, library, post office, bank and a good selection of shops, also just 2 minutes walk from the famous Berkeley Castle.

The Home has 13 bedrooms, 11 of them have own en-suite WC and wash hand basin other bedrooms have a bathroom close by. We offer to accommodate our guests and residents over two floors. All Bedrooms have a nurse call system and access to a television aerial. A private telephone line may be installed at the residents’ request. Residents will be able to bring their own furniture and belongings at their request to personalise their rooms. We are welcoming our residents to choose the colour of their room if they wish.

The Home has a beautiful bushy garden welcoming our residents to spend time listening to birds and guessing different plants or plant their own during favorite gardening activities with the support of the staff. We also have the communal areas which comprise a dining room and a comfortable lounge where our residents and guest enjoy reading, watching TV or simply chatting to their friends.

All staff receive training in the Home’s philosophy and values. The Home is fully committed to staff learning and development and support is provided for staff studying towards level 2 and 3 in Health & Social Care qualification in care.
